October 2004 | Oak Ridge, Tennessee Tremble Hotel will soon be no more. The once grand palace is finally meeting its doom. After years of being sealed up like a vault, the hotel was rediscovered during construction work in the Oak Ridge Mall. The hotel was like a time capsule, left intact as it was in its heyday. It was decided to open the hotel for tours, to allow the modern world a glimpse of its shining past. Something went wrong. Years had faded the rumors and legends surrounding the hotel. Forgotten were the tales of ghostly apparitions roaming its halls, the missing guests, the insanity that seemed to take over all those who called the hotel home. When the hotel was reopened, haunted spirit were once again set free to have their way. The screams of those who dared to tour this relic still echo through its halls. The hotel was quickly shut down. A team of paranormal investigators was brought in to find the cause of these manifestations. A year later, the team decided to allow guests back into the hotel in hopes of prompting new paranormal activity. Psychic guides were enlisted to help channel these energies. They were more successful than they had ever dreamed. Hieronymus J. Tremble himself was awakened and all hell broke loose. Those who could be saved were rescued, at least physically. Several have taken refuge in the dark corners of their minds. The hotel was locked up to await its fate. The last days of the hotel are upon us. The hotel is to be demolished -- every last stone to be crushed until only dust and nightmares remain. The curse of Tremble Hotel shall die. In order to pay for the razing of the hotel, its contents have been removed to a nearby storage area. Here the bizarre and mysterious artifacts are being catalogued and prepared for shipment to some of the finer auction houses in New York and London. This collection of Tremble paraphernalia will be presented to the public for those brave enough to take one final glimpse into the demented world of the Trembles. Let us hope that it Tremble Hotel itself, and not its contents, that is cursed. |
